L.A.R.K.S. May Day Heli-Fly

The Lake Area Radio Kontrol Society (LARKS) is hosting its 34th annual May Day Helicopter Fly, Thursday-Saturday, May 2-4, at Hinch Field in Carlyss, two miles west of Southland Aviation. Flying starts each day at dawn and concludes at 10 p.m.

Families are invited to see the best flyers in the world fly their radio controlled model helicopters for three days free of charge. Please bring your own chair. Refreshments will be on site. There will also be face painting for children at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

LARKS is dedicated to the promotion of the hobby and fly under the guidelines of the Academy of Model Aeronautics and encourages people who appreciate model airplanes and helicopters to join their club.

Parking is free for all three days. For patrons who are disabled, call Bo Hinch at (337) 515-1158 upon arrival to the site, and someone will provide transportation to the large shaded canopy area.
