Out of 16 teams competing in a statewide tactical competition, the LCPD SWAT Team took first place.

According to KPLC, each team competing in the statewide tactical competition was made up of 12 members: six competitors with five entry team members and one sniper. The 16 teams from across Louisiana competed in rifle, pistol, shotgun, and sniper competitions, as well as an obstacle course.
