New Burger Restaurant Could Be Coming To Lake Charles

A new fast-growing burger franchise will be opening a location in Lake Charles soon...

Smalls Sliders is a Baton Rouge-based burger chain that specializes in cooked-to-order sliders and milkshakes. With locations throughout Louisiana, Lafayette is soon to be next.

The news comes from a Facebook Post from SWLA Native Michael Boyer as he had this to say on Facebook...

Well everyone I guess it’s finally official. I have decided to move on from the Toasted Yolk to chase my dreams of becoming a restaurant owner. Yes it’s still coming to Lake Charles.

I have found a small group of friends and will be partnering to bring a new concept to Lake Charles that is on fire. Smalls Sliders started by Brandon Landry from Walkon’s. My whole life I have been in the restaurant industry working for someone else with no piece of ownership yet treating the establishment like it was mine. Making others millions while only collecting my salary. This time I wanted to do it different and get on the ownership team. We will be building 5 locations in 5 years from Calcasieu parish over to Port Arthur/Beaumont/Lumberton area. We have put a letter of intent on a property in Lake Charles and I will keep everyone updated in the progress.

 

Please understand that whatever I put my name on I give my 10000% efforts. This will be the hottest concept and I will do everything in my power to deliver the freshest, quickest dinner lunch to everyone we serve. I truly appreciate everyone that supports me. I won’t let you down.

Smalls Sliders originated in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, under the guidance of CEO Brandon Landry, known for his success with Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux. The venture received an extra boost when legendary former NFL quarterback Drew Brees joined as an initial investor. Brees, who is widely recognized for his accomplishments with the New Orleans Saints, is not only an investor but also a franchisor and future franchisee of Smalls Sliders.

We have no official word on when things will get rolling for the potential Lake Charles location, but when we do, we will of course bring you the latest information. This is a great sign to see a new business coming to Southwest Louisiana!
