New Restaurant Opens This Week In Lake Charles

After posting this story earlier, We have been informed that the restaurant will NOT be opening tomorrow, Wednesday, November 29th. We will inform you when we know when the official date will be for the opening. 

Back in October, we reported that a new restaurant was coming to Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana and would be located at 4865 Highway 397 in Lake Charles. If that address and location sound familiar, then you know it is the site where it once housed K'Bon's and The Back Porch restaurants at one time.

We have been notified that the time has come for the new eatery to open up to the public. The new restaurant opening up will be called Simon's Bar and Grill and will be located at 4865 Highway 397 in Lake Charles.

Owner David Simon said that his new restaurant will feature a full-service bar & grill and have plate lunches throughout the week. They will also serve Crab, Crab Legs, and Shrimp and will also have Boiled Crawfish as early as possible once the season gets underway.

The new restaurant will also feature a drive-through and will even have cornhole and washers in the back entertainment/band area where they will feature “after-hours” on  Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights until 2 a.a. and the kitchen will serve appetizers such as Crab Kickers, French Fries, Onion Rings, and hot wings until midnight on the weekends.
