Southland Conference Basketball Tournament To Start Sunday In Lake Charles

Basketball fans, you better get ready! The Southland Conference Basketball Tournament gets underway on Sunday, and it's right here in our backyard at the Legacy Center.

2024 Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Basketball Championships presented by Explore Louisiana will take place at McNeese State University in the Legacy Center in Lake Charles!

The men’s tournament tips off Sunday, March 10, with first-round games at 5 and 7:30 p.m. CT. Men’s second-round games are slated for Monday, March 11, at 5 and 7:30 p.m., and the semifinal games will be played Tuesday, March 12, at a time to be determined. The men’s championship game is set for Wednesday, March 8, at a time to be determined.

Women’s first-round games will be played Monday, March 11, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Women’s second-round games are Tuesday, March 12, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Semifinal games are scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, at a time to be determined. The women’s championship game is Thursday, March 14, at a time to be determined.

The Southland Conference will receive an automatic bid for the 2024 NCAA tournaments for the winners of the conference men's and women's tournaments. The State Farm Stadium in Phoenix will host the NCAA Men's Final Four on April 6 and 8, while the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland will host the NCAA Women's Final Four on April 4 and 7.
