We're tracking this weather system moving through the area. We are under a tornado watch until 7 P.M.

Here's more on the system pictured on the radar.

The bulk of the weather has moved very quickly and to the Northeast. the good part of the systems fast forward motion is that, while areas already experiencing flooding for the past few weeks, are seeing some rain, the system has not accounted for a large accumulation.

If the system continues it's rapid forward motion, the "Tornado Watch" may be lifted before 7 P.M.

Just to remind you about that whole "weatherspeak" terminology, a "watch" merely means that weather conditions are favorable for the formation of tornadoes. A "warning" means that a tornado has actually formed and could touch ground in the warning area.

Stay safe! We'll keep you posted.
