SWLA Chapter Of Whitetails Unlimited Banquet This Saturday In Lake Charles

Here is a great event to attend this weekend. The Whitetails Unlimited annual banquet is this Saturday, August 12th, 2023 at the Lake Charles Civic Center.

The Southwest Louisiana Chapter of Whitetails Unlimited is the #1 Chapter in the USA  and has been for the last 13 years. So what does The Southwest Louisiana Chapter of Whitetails Unlimited do?

Whitetails Unlimited raises money and has taken over 200 youths that never or don’t have the opportunity to hunt and close to 100 Veterans and 1st responders on hunts. They have also donated to many local organizations Dreams Come True, local Boys and Girls Scouts, local Schools, and local Benefits for those in need.

Ron Turner with Whitetails Unlimited said,

We have a basic hunter and gun safety class for every youth hunter at the Lake Charles Gun Club where we show them the proper way to handle firearms and how to shoot till we and they are comfortable with the youth safely shooting and also shot placement tracking if needed and a course how to tell stories about their hunts lol. Also to say thank you to those who have and are serving in the US Military and those protecting and serving us as 1st responders . With the money we raise these hunts from transportation, food, lodging, the harvesting, processing, and mounting of animals at no cost to them and we present to them at our annual banquet. This community has been amazing allowing us to do this for so many years and as always thank you to them.
