Having the first chart-topping single of your career is a very big deal. Having that song top the charts for two weeks is even a bigger deal, as Hunter Hayes experienced earlier this year with his hit song, 'Wanted.'

Hunter Hayes has been added to the list of performers for this year's 'The Grammy Nominations Concert LIVE — Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night,’ the televised music event that kicks off the Grammy Awards voting season.

Hunter Hayes from Breaux Bridge, Louisiana burst on the country music scene about a year ago with his debut single "Storm Warning".  Since then Hunter has scored a #1 hit with his second song "Wanted". Tonight, Hunter who started out playing accordion and playing Cajun Music, just won the Country Music Association (CMA) New Artist of the year award live on national television.

Hunter Hayes is coming back home this April, and he's bringing a beautiful blonde with him!  Tickets for Hunter and Carrie's April 29 Cajundome concert in Lafayette will go on sale Friday morning at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

It's been a pretty big year for Hunter Hayes, to say the least. In addition to releasing his first No. 1 song, 'Wanted,' Hayes' hit also achieved certified platinum status earlier this fall -- not to mention dozens of accolades he's received. Yesterday (Oct. 22), Hayes appeared on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' to perform his most popular tune.

I found a video posted on Youtube of Louisiana's own Hunter Hayes and Wayne Toups performing live together on stage to Waynes big hit "Please Explain".  Check it out!

Austin Corini sang Hunter Hayes' smash hit 'Wanted' on tonight's (Sept. 26) audition episode of 'X Factor.' Corini has quite a bit in common with Hayes, in that they are both adorable, blond and possess star quality.

It was a busy weekend for Hunter Hayes.  He performed a concert at a charity event and he sung the national anthem at the New Orleans Saints football game on Sunday.
