The Saints need three more wins to get their second Superbowl ring. Those wins will have to come against the NFL's best teams and will require a stout defense. There is still no word on whether Keenan Lewis will be a part of that defense. The Saints did however sign another safety to the roster for the playoff run.

A recent press release states The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office has received$153,155 in grant funding from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission to conduct additional traffic safety enforcement activities. This funding is for DUI safety checkpoints and other driver safety enforcement.

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury set its parishwide burn ban on fire this past week, allowing residents in the unincorporated areas of the parish to resume whatever burning activities they need to perform. The ban was officially lifted Friday.

Nearly 1,000 kids die each year due to drowning, and for people between the ages of 5 and 24, drowning is the second leading cause of accidental death.
