The Flamethrowers To Headline ‘Autism on the Bayou’ Event In Lake Charles

It's time to get out and have a good time for a great cause. That is what is great about Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana, people love to have fun but also love to get behind and support a great cause.

This is one of those events. The Autism Services of Southwest Louisiana is putting on its biennial fundraising concert, Autism on the Bayou here in Lake Charles. This event will raise money for the Autism Services Of Southwest Louisiana with 100 percent of the proceeds staying right here in Southwest Louisiana.

Kylee Olinger, the HR Coordinator for Direct Care, Inc. and Autism Services of SWLA, said about the event,

This fundraising event supports our mission and allows us to continue providing housing and support services to adults on the autism spectrum. This year’s funds will be used to furnish ASSL’s new community center. The vision for our community center would be a space that allows our clients to freely express their artistic, creative, and social abilities through activities. We would like to fill this space with art supplies, technology, sensory toys, puzzles, and other tangible items that our clients would enjoy.

This year's event will be headlined by Southwest Louisiana favorite The Flamethrowers live in concert. it will all take place on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at L'Auberge.Casino Resort in Lake Charles. The doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the music will be from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
