Is God giving us a sign?  Last night, we witnessed history with Venus and Jupiter crossing the night sky 6 degrees apart for the first time in 2,000 years.  What is referred to as the "Star of Bethlehem", this phenomenon has been studied for a millennia and for one moment, we were able to view it live.  The brightest "star" in the night sky, The Star of Bethlehem has long been believed to the light that shined at Jesus' birth.

What is the Star of Bethlehem?  There are three schools of thought: a comet, planets aligning, or a supernova.  My school of thought, divine intervention.  I think God lit the sky so the Magi's could travel to visit the King of all Kings.  But, science and religion have long since been separate so I could agree with the phenomenon of Jupiter and Venus orbiting very close together, hence the bright "star" in the night sky.

Is this a sign of times to come?  Is God sending us a message to believe only in him and not other schools of thought?  Is he saying "have faith in me and you will be fine"?  Is he trying to guide us through our faulty religious-christian journey as we navigate a world that steers us away from him?

Regardless if you think this was a divine sign, or a scientific anomaly, we can all agree on one thing:  our faith is being tested on a daily basis.  From what I have learned through my cancer journey, 'Let Go, Let God' is my daily mantra.  Faith is the answer.
