Things To Do In SWLA And Lake Charles This Weekend Oct. 6-8

The weekend is here but it's going to feel a little different. There is a cold front coming through which is going to cool us down a bit which will be perfect for you to get out and do something outside.

That is where we come in. We have done the research for you and found things going on in the area and made a list for you. Here we go.

The Cal Cam Fair is taking place in Sulphur, Louisiana with some big names performing this weekend. Get ready for Jamie Bergeron and Caden Gillard to perform live in concert. Click here for the entire Cal Cam Fair entertainment lineup.

KC and The Sunshine Band will be live at the Golden Nuggets Grand Event Center on Friday night. The show starts at 8:30 p.m.

Brad Brinkley will be performing live at The Boardwalk Friday night from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Boardwalk is located at 1301 East McNeese Street in Lake Charles in the same shopping center where Mancave Salon is located.

Movies Under The Stars is back for its October run and the first event will take place Friday night with the movie Scoob. It's an animated movie featuring the one and only Scooby Doo. This movie will be shown at Prien Lake Park, 3700 Prien Lake Road, Lake Charles.

The 2nd annual Southwest Louisiana Ranch Sorting dance and cook-off are taking place Saturday from Noon until 11:00 p.m. at the CFMA building located at 3481 East Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles. The dance is headlined by Chris Miller & Bayou Roots. See the flyer above for all the details.

The McNeese Cowboys football team will be on the road to take on Texas A&M Commerce on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and you can hear all the action of the game on 92.9 The Lake.
