Every year at Christmas I buy my wife a Thomas Kinkade calander. We both love his work. We have visited his galleries in New Orleans and in seveal shopping malls. It is a sad morning for his many fans.

We don't own any of his work but always thought we would someday. I have often dreamed of having some of his work with some adjustable track lighting so that I can make the painting match the mood of the moment. Thomas Kinkade was an artist who's work came to life like none other. According to a family spokeman ...  he died of natural causes. The Associated Press reports "He claimed to be the nation's most collected living artist, and his paintings and spin-off products were said to fetch some $100 million a year in sales, and to be in 10 million homes in the United States." He will live on forever to anyone with one of his works hanging on their walls.
