You may not know this, but Larry The Cable Guy's real name is Daniel Lawrence Whitney and he was born in Oklahoma.

When Larry got his big break, he was a traveling comic attempting to establish himself. Larry received an invitation to travel with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Ron White on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Larry's career and life were drastically altered by that tour.

His massive tour ended up turning into a huge world tour and also TV and movie specials. For Larry The Cable Guy, it also meant that he was called upon to do the voice of Mater in the Pixar film Cars.

In addition, he acted in films in which he played the lead role. He appeared in films that included Remain Seated, Jingle All the Way 2, A Medea Christmas, Delta Farce, Witless Protection, and Cars 2 and 3.
