What’s Going To Be Built In Front of Kroger’s In Lake Charles?

Ever since Kroger's on the corner of Nelson and Country Club Road in Lake Charles bought the land, there has been a ton of speculation about what was going to be built in front of the store where all that land sits.

Do you remember what used to sit on that land before Kroger built that huge complex? It is where the old VFW Post-2130, The old Mere's grocery store, and the RV park used to sit. Now that area of land is just grass which is pictured above but we all know that sooner or later something would eventually be built there and now we know.

We drove by the area the other day and saw the sign indicating what was coming. It's going to be a Bayou Beds Mattress Gallery. The sign boasts that this will be its third location in Southwest Louisiana.

There other two locations are located on West Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles and one in Sulphur located at 4016 Maplewood Drive. Now its third location is obviously going to be on Country Club Road in Lake Charles.

According to the sign, they sell Sealy, Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster, and Sleep Happy beds. we did some research and they also offer bedding like comforters, sheets, and more. They also carry Tyler Candles.

No word when they will break ground on the new location but now you know what is headed to that piece of property in front of Kroger's in Lake Charles.
