McNeese's Christian Shumate Featured On SportsCenter Top-10 TWICE

Another game, another "SHU-SLAM" from McNeese's Christian Shumate! If you head to a McNeese Basketball game, as long as Shumate is playing, it's very likely you could end up seeing one of the most incredible dunks you'll ever see at any level of basketball. Last night Shumate was on SportsCenter Top-10 AGAIN with not one, but TWO MONSTROUS dunks.

For the last few games, McNeese has been looking for a quick start in Southland Conference play, but they had yet to find it, until Monday Night. The Cowboys scored the first two points of the game, and then immediately HCU tied it 2-2. That is when the route began as McNeese scored the next 12 points. The Cowboys would never trail in the matchup as they rolled to a 51-point win in Houston 105-54.

Five Cowboys scored in double-figures, led by DJ Richards Jr. with 16 points. All 12 players that saw action scored as head coach Will Wade emptied the bench with 10 minutes still to play in the second half and McNeese leading 81-36. Shahada Wells, Christian Shumate, and Antavion Collum each scored 13.

But it wasn't the 51-point win that has everyone talking, it's all of the thundering dunks from Christian Shumate that stole the show in Houston. Shumate had MULTIPLE SportsCenter Top-10 worthy plays, and two of them made the list. Shumate notched the #1 and the #7 spots.

We have seen some pretty impressive dunks from Shumate this season, one of them coming on Saturday when McNeese beat Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Personally, this was the best dunk I have ever seen in person. Also, this dunk was featured on SportsCenter Top-10.
