Want to go experience a really neat and interesting event?  Make plans then to attend the 25th annual Coushatta Powwow presented by Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, Louisiana. The event will take place at the pavilion at Coushatta.

The Coushatta Powwow is one of the largest Powwows in North America and is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The two-day event features dancers in native costumes giving you the authentic experience of how it was back then.

The event begins on Friday, June 10th, and features a Gourd Dance at 5:00 pm and the Grand Entry at 7:00 pm.

On Saturday, June 11th will feature two times when the Gourd Dance and the Grand Entry will occur. The first one will take place at 10:00 am with the Gourd Dance and then at 12:00 pm with the Grand Entry. Then the same will reoccur at 5:00 pm with the Gourd Dance and 7:00 pm with the Grand Entry.

So you have two opportunities on that Saturday to see this very educational and entertaining event.

According to Coushatta,

This is a family-friendly event offering a look at the fascinating culture and heritage of Native Americans. General admission at the gate is $5 per day. Ages 6 years & under get in free. Purchase tickets at the gate on the day of the event.
