
3rd Annual Crawfish Boil-Off Heats Up Lake Charles May 3rd
KNGT | Lake Charles, LA — Get ready to pinch, peel, and party! The 3rd Annual Crawfish Boil-Off, hosted by McVey’s Seafood, is set for Saturday, May 3rd from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Mary’s Lounge, located at 4017 Broad Street in Lake Charles.
This all-day event is perfect for anyone who loves good music, great food, and a little friendly competition. Teams of 3 to 5 people can enter the boil-off with an entry fee ranging from $250 to $350. That fee includes three full sacks of crawfish, along with a t-shirt and koozie for each team member.

The day kicks off at 9:00 AM with team registration and setup. The real fun begins at 11:00 AM when the gates open to the public. Live music will keep the vibes high all day long. Catch Lolo Boudoin & The Lakeview Playboys from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by Conner Haynie from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and Aaron Istre closing it out from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The crawfish judging happens from 2:00 PM to 4:15 PM, and right after that, it’s time for the Crawfish Eating Competition at 4:30 PM. Think you’ve got what it takes to chow down faster than anyone else? Step up and prove it!
Winners of the Boil-Off will be announced at 5:00 PM. Whether you’re cooking, competing, or just there to eat and dance, the Crawfish Boil-Off is one event you won’t want to miss.
