5 Best Places To Get Boudin In Lake Charles
My family and I ate boudin last night with some white bread and some ruffles. I would have to say it's one of our favorite Louisiana foods to eat together as a family.
So, I set out on a mission to find the five best establishments that make boudin in our town. Some people like using Yelp, but I'm a Trip Advisor guy myself.

Trip Advisor will rank a restaurant that has a ton of reviews higher over another restaurant that has a few reviews even though the scores should suggest otherwise. I think this is very fair because anyone can get their family and friends to give their restaurant a five-circle review even if the food doesn't deserve it. That's not a dig on any restaurant on this list; I'm just explaining why having more reviews carries more weight in Trip Advisor's rankings.
Since we covered the best boudin places in Lake Charles above, let me tell you where my favorite boudin joints are. My all-time favorite is the smoked boudin from Gillis Grocery and Meat Market. There is so much flavor packed into their links and there's a perfect amount of spice in every bite. More recently, I was blown away by the smoked boudin at In-Laws in Iowa. After I took my first bite I had to sit down, no joke. It tastes amazing.
