We’ve been hearing more and more about store closures lately, and now it seems another well-known brand is preparing to make some major cuts. If you’ve ever shopped at Advance Auto Parts, this might be something to pay attention to. Reports suggest the company is planning to close a significant number of locations nationwide, and unfortunately, it looks like some Texas stores could be on the list. Here’s what we know so far.

The North Carolina-based auto parts supplier reportedly has plans to shut down a large number of sites by mid-next year. According to findings, these closures will include four distribution centers, 204 independently owned locations, and 523 corporate stores.

A report from MarketWatch indicates reductions will occur in "certain eastern states," though the company hasn’t released an official list of affected areas. Additionally, it suggests that the distribution centers targeted for closure are likely located in the western region.

Currently, Advance Auto Parts operates numerous locations across Texas. Based on a MarketWatch infographic, it seems some Texas stores—potentially including those in Central and East Texas—could be at risk.

While there hasn’t been an official announcement, and the affected locations haven’t yet appeared on commercial real estate listings, it appears Texas could lose at least a few stores as part of these sweeping changes.
