It was only a matter of time before it happened. The need for music, and live music, is beginning to become more than some of us can take. Alan Jackson seems to have the scratch for that live music itch we have. He has officially announced two concerts coming in early June that will be drive-in movie theater style.

They're being called Small Town Drive-in concerts, as a nod to one of his iconic songs. They will take place in Cullman and Fairhope, Alabama. Your next question might be the amount of vehicles that will be allowed at each of the concerts. According to his website, each venue will be able to hold 2,000 vehicles for each show. Now, that is a good bit of vehicles attending a show. The show will be adhering to all the CDC guidelines put in place for social distancing, and they are even allowing fans to order food and beverages.

There will be an app available for fans to use in order to get concessions. Their orders will then be delivered directly to their vehicles. No one will be allowed to exit their vehicle at any time. I wonder how a bathroom break is going to work?

The price, in my opinion, is shocking! A general admission ticket for two people to attend will be $99.99. That feels cheap for a unique one-of-a kind concert. Each additional passenger will be $39.99. You can even purchase VIP tickets that will allow you to park close to the stage. Those will set you back $199.99.

I think this is an incredible idea, and one that will hopefully catch on with other artists champing at the bit to get back out on the road to entertain their fans. I am still curious as to what the bathroom situation will be. As I get older, that becomes a bigger and bigger worry for me.
