American Girl Dolls Party at Central Library

Tomorrow Central Library in Lake Charles will be holding an American Girl Doll party to celebrate the fact that they now have 20 dolls available to be checked out.  The fun starts tomorrow from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m..

If you have a little girl in preschool or elementary school, then you know how popular these dolls are. The Junior League of Lake Charles purchased the 20 dolls and donated them to the library.

The dolls will be on display for your daughter to see at the party and starting on March 25 they can be checked out for 2 weeks at a time at any library in Calcasieu Parish.  Each doll depicts a specific time in history and is accompanied by a book to tell her story.

This is a great way to get girls reading and excited about history.

Central Library is located at 301 W. Claude St. and snacks will be available while you celebrate American Girl Dolls.
