Louisiana’s Angola Prison Rodeo Set for April 2026, Beware of Ticket Scams

Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - If you love going to a rodeo but have never experienced a prison rodeo, then you definitely need to plan to go see this one. The Angola Prison Rodeo is known around the country as one of the best rodeos to see live in person.

The 2026 Angola Prison Rodeo has announced that its next event will take place on April 18-19, 2026, in Angola, Louisiana. The gates will open at 8:00 am each day, and the Rodeo begins at 2:00 pm. There are a ton of events that take place over the two days of the rodeo.

Some of the featured events include The Grand Entry, The Bust Out, Bareback riding, Bull-dogging, Barrel Racing, Chariot Races, Wild Cow Milking, Bull Riding, Convict Poker, Guts and Glory, Women's Barrel Racing events, and Wild Horse Races.

The Angola prison also wants to warn you about ticket scammers. All tickets are only $20 per person, and tickets are available online and by phone. Tickets went on sale for the April 2026 event on December 1, 2025. They said,
