Are The Facebook Rumors True That Western Sizzlin Is Coming To Lake Charles?

Social Media has exploded over the past few days as someone posted a picture of a  Western Sizzlin sign that was supposedly hung up at the old O'Charley's location prompting folks to think that Western Sizzlin was coming back to Lake Charles.

We say coming back because if you can remember, a Western Sizzlin restaurant used to be here in Lake Charles. it was located on West Prien Lake Road where the Golden Corrall now sits.

The picture posted boasts that the old restaurant was going to make a return to Lake Charles at the old O'Charley's location at the corner of Nelson and West Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles.

We know you're probably like wait, What happened to O'Charley's? If you didn't know. the restaurant announced that they were closing its doors here in Lake Charles. Here are the details on why it closed here. 

So let's get back to the viral post that someone made saying that Western Sizzlin was coming back to Lake Charles. Last week, another picture was rolling around about Ball's Fired Chicken finally putting up its sign which got people excited that the restaurant could be opening soon.

Well, this person referenced that post and posted this picture of what appears to be a Western Sizzlin sign hung up at the old O'Charley's location. But is it real or fake? You judge.

So is this real or fake? We did some more scrolling and found another post that Mrs. Cheryl made where you will see where she said she saw the other post and had to drive by herself to check it out and she confirmed, it's not true. Check it out.

So there you go. We are glad to get down to the bottom of it for you but at the same time, we are sad that there is NOT going to be a Western Silzzlin coming. We sure do miss the massive bread rolls and butter they had there.
