Too soon? The one list no one in Southwest Louisiana wants to see but needs to see is the 2023 Atlantic Hurricane names for the upcoming season.

We are all too familiar when it comes to hurricanes. Every year, we have to keep vigilant with our plan of action, get our supplies together and have our affairs in order. It's only been a couple of years since Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana got slammed with two hurricanes within six weeks of each other.

We all are familiar with the damage those two storms caused to people and their homes in Southwest Louisiana. We also are just seeing businesses coming back after over two and a half years after they were totally destroyed.

If you are like me, the names Laura and Delta make me get the chills. We hope we never see another one-two punch as we received a couple of years ago again ever here in Southwest Louisiana.

We all need to keep that in mind because you never know when Mother Nature will throw us another curve ball here in Southwest Louisiana.

The Atlantic Hurricane season will start just five and a half short months from now. The 2023 hurricane season will begin on June 1st, 2023, and run through November 30th, 2023.
