Bayou Country Superfest Moves To New Orleans
For the past seven years, LSU Tiger stadium in Baton Rouge was the home of the Bayou Country Superfest but it has now moved down I-10 to New Orleans for 2017. The Superfest is a three day event held on Memorial Day weekend and is always filled full of great country music from the biggest stars of country performing live inside Tigers Stadium.
Yesterday it was announced that the 8th annual Bayou Country Superfest will be moving to New Orleans from Baton Rouge. The reason for the move is that LSU plans on doing renovations to Tigers Stadium after the football season.
The new home of the Bayou Country Superfest will be inside the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The festival is set for Memorial Day weekend, May 26 – 28, 2017.
The three day Superfest will begin on Friday, May 26 in Champions Square with a outdoor evening concert and will be free and open to the public. Champions Square will also be the site of the Festival’s daytime Fan Fest on Saturday and Sunday.
Then starting on Saturday and Sunday in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome there will be two nights of live performances by some of the biggest names in country music.
The full talent lineup and ticket information for the Bayou Country Superfest will be announced on December 1.
