ABC News reports Dr. Ben Carson, Housing and Urban Development Secretary, just tested positive for COVID-19. Carson, like White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, was in attendance at the election night party last week. As feared, it looks like the event could be another superspreader occasion. This is the second recent event held at the White House where several attendees tested positive with the virus.

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie spent seven days in the hospital after contracting the virus September 26 at the White House Rose Garden celebration for Justice Amy Coney Barrett. Just like before, most of the people in attendance last Tuesday did not social distance or have masks on. So far, Carson and Meadows are the only White House staff members to have tested positive. However, it is very likely there will be more to follow in the coming days. We certainly wish them both speedy recoveries.
