Last night, Blake Shelton's Voice team member, Meghan Linsey, did an Aretha Franklin classic on the Voice battle rounds, advancing her to the live shows. She did an outstanding job and proved to the judges and viewers alike, just how hard she is willing to fight for the Voice title. Originally, she was on Team Pharell, but was stolen by Shelton, with whom her previous band opened for during one of his tours several years ago.

Meghan, formerly of the duo Steel Magnolia, auditioned for the Voice since the group is no longer together and is now looking to make a name for herself. You may recognize "Last Night Again", "Keep On Loving You", and my personal favorite Steel Magnolia Just By Being You (Halo & Wings). The duo was discovered during their stint on the show "Can You Duet" back in 2009 in Nashville.

Considering Blake's track record of winners on the Voice, this season is going to be an exciting one to say the least! I'm a Voice addict, so I will keep you up to date on this highly talented season and how Meghan Lindsey does on her journey. Regardless, that girl has chops and I'm guessing has caught the attention of well placed industry executives!
