According to Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's officials, the CSE Credit Union in Moss Bluff was robbed about an hour ago. All schools in the Moss Bluff area have been placed on lockdown. The CPSO says the children are safe and the lockdowns were placed into effect for precautionary measures.

Police are on the scene and actively looking for the suspect(s).

Update 5/22/17 4:49pm:

The man who robbed CSE Federal Credit Union in Moss Bluff fled into the woods behind the business around noon Monday, officials said.

Deputies used the K-9 units to track him to a location where it is believed he may have left in a vehicle.

The man was wearing a dark hoodie. He walked into the credit union around 11:50 a.m. and demanded money from the teller.  The amount taken has not been disclosed yet.

CPSO officials are asking anyone with information about the man or the robbery to call the sheriff's office at 491-3605 or Crimestoppers at 439-2222.
