Buc-ee’s Takes Next Steps Towards First Louisiana Location
(KNGT-FM) - The wait for a Buc-ee's in Louisiana is ALMOST OVER! That's right! Everybody's favorite convenience store, Buc-ee's, is set to break ground on a new Louisiana location.
Rumors have been swirling around Louisiana about a few different locations in the State for a Buc-ee's, but have never gotten anything rolling in terms of construction. It looks like that is set to change.

What is Buc'ee's?
Bucc-ee's is an American-owned chain of convenience stores that is owned by "Arch Beaver." Along with its offerings of fuel, snacks (especially beef jerky and candies), brisket, baked goods, tacos, fresh sandwiches, souvenirs, and travel gear, the brand is well-recognized for the size of its stores. At its location in Sevierville, Tennessee, as of June 2023, it is the largest gas station globally. The chain is especially well-known for its spotless restrooms, adorable mascot, and policy against 18-wheelers being driven into any of its facilities.
Did You Know?... Buc-ee's currently holds TWO World Records! Yep, that's right! The large convenience store currently holds the record for the largest convenience store in the world at 74,707 square feet. That location is in Sevierville. They also have the world record for the longest car wash. The world’s longest car wash clocks in at 255 feet of conveyor.

Louisiana Buc-ee's Location Set to Break Ground October 24th
Louisiana is FINALLY getting a Buc-ee's! We've been talking about it for years, but reports are saying that construction is about to get underway. The first Buc-ee's location is coming to Ruston, Louisiana, and will be located off I-20 at the Tarbutton Road interchange, near Ruston Junior High School.
A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for October 24. The new location will bring at least 200 full-time jobs to the area, Buc-ee's says, with starting pay "well above minimum wage, full benefits, a 6% matching 401k, and three weeks of paid vacation."
It gets better for Southwest Louisiana residents as Buc-ee’s has also announced plans for a second Louisiana location in Lafayette.
