The 36th annual Cajun Music And Food Festival is back and will take place in Lake Charles on July 15th at the Burton complex. This is the festival that is put on by the Lake Charles chapter of the Cajun French Music Association (CFMA).

It's hard to believe that the Lake Charles chapter of the Cajun French Music Association has been putting this festival on for almost 40 years now. They are celebrating 36 years of the festival promoting the heritage, culture, and language of the Cajun culture.

The festival takes place inside the Burton Coliseum in South Lake Charles and is a one-day event at the Burton. The festival features arts and crafts, cold drinks, cake walks, live and silent auctions, great Cajun food, a sweet shop, and plenty of live music!

Now that looks like a great day of fun, authentic Cajun music, and great Cajun food.  The best part of the festival is that it is inside the Burton so that means air conditioning while you cut a rug.

Then don't forget on Sunday after the festival, you can go to the CFMA chapter's building for a Cajun French Mass and a donut and coffee social after mass.

If you would like to be a member of the Lake Charles chapter of the Cajun French Music Association, you can reach out to Renee Daigle at 337-802-4077 a join. The CFMA has a monthly meeting at their building located at 3481 East Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles.
