SWLA Weekend Forecast: Summer Heat Returns With Storm Chances
Alright y’all… welcome back to another Cajun Weekend Weather Report, and this week I got one word for you...HOT. Actually, make that two words...HOT and STICKY.
According to the Weather Channel here in SWLA, its time...Summertime. This is what we trained for, Temps in the 90's all weekend long. Humidity so thick you can swim in it, and those classic afternoon thunderstorms popping up just often enough to keep things interesting.

Lake Charles Weather June 12th thru 14th
Friday
Friday comes in hot with a high near 90 and a low around 75. The good news? Most of the day looks pretty decent. The bad news? Thunderstorms could show up later in the afternoon. This is one of those days where you want to get your outside stuff done early. Cut the grass, wash the truck, fish a little, whatever you got planned. By late afternoon, Mother Nature might decide to throw a little water on everybody's plans. And let's be honest... at 90 degrees, that rain might actually feel pretty good.
Saturday
Saturday, basically copy and paste of Friday. Highs around 90, another chance of scattered thunderstorms, and another day where you're gonna sweat walking from the house to the truck. If you're heading to a ball tournament, cookout, festival, or anything outside, bring plenty of water. And yes... this is officially "better grab an extra bag of ice for the beer" weather. Maybe two bags.
Sunday
Sunday cools down a whole two degrees to 88. So basically... still hot. Scattered thunderstorms stick around, but it doesn't look like a complete washout. This is typical Louisiana summer weather. Hot mornings, hot afternoons, a random storm somewhere, then right back to being hot again. You know the drill.
So here's the official game plan this weekend... Get outside early. Hydrate. hydrate, hydrate. Keep the sunscreen handy. And make sure that cooler stays stocked because summer has officially arrived in Southwest Louisiana.
That's your Cajun Weekend Weather Report. We ain't just telling you what the weather's doing... we're helping y'all survive it one sweaty weekend at a time.
