SWLA Weekend Forecast: Stormy Start Then Perfect Weather

KNGT | Lake Charles, LA — Alright y’all… here we go again. Another week, another Cajun Weekend Weather Report, and I gotta say… this one’s lookin pretty nice for a change. Not perfect… but hey… we’ll take it. Let’s break it down so you know how to plan your weekend the right way. According to the Weather Channel, this is how you need to plan.

Friday

We’re starting off with a high around 77 and a low near 57, and there’s gonna be some thunderstorms early in the morning. So yeah… don’t be surprised if you wake up to a little thunder rollin through and rain tapping on the roof. This ain’t an all-day deal though. It’s more like… Mother Nature just clearing her throat before the weekend really gets going. By the afternoon, things should calm down some. Temps feel good too. Not blazing hot, not freezing. Just right. You might still wanna hold off on big outdoor plans early, but by later on… you’re probably good to go.

Saturday

Now Saturday… this is what I’m talkin about. High around 77 again, low in the low 50s, and partly cloudy skies. This is that perfect kind of Louisiana day where you can do just about anything. Cookout? Yep. Fishing? Oh yeah. Sit outside with a cold drink and not sweat through your shirt? Finally. Go ahead and take advantage of this one. These are the days we wait on.

Sunday

And Sunday… it might even be better. High near 79, low mid 50s, and hardly any rain chances at all. This right here is wide open. Church, family time, grilling, yard work… whatever you got planned, you ain’t gotta worry about the weather messing it up. It’s one of those easy days where everything just kinda falls into place.
