KNGT | Lake Charles, LA — Alright y'all, welcome back to another Cajun Weekend Weather Report, and apparently Louisiana has decided we got enough fall last weekend. BACK TO SUMMER WE GO!

Last week we were talking about temperatures possibly dropping into the 60s. I was ready. The gumbo pot was coming out. Some of y'all probably dug a hoodie out of the back of the closet. Well...Put it back.

According to AccuWeather, the weekend of September 25th through September 27th around Lake Charles is looking warm, mostly dry, and pretty darn good if you've got outdoor plans. We're talking highs in the 90s all three days with almost NO chance of rain.

Cajun Weekend Weather Report: Louisiana Took Our Fall Away Again

Friday
Friday is starting pretty good, with mostly sunny skies and a high around 94 degrees. NINETY-FOUR. Only about a 4% chance of rain...is that even noteworthy? That RealFeel is expected to be around 94 degrees though. Sunscreen is still very much part of the game plan. Friday night drops to around 70 degrees, which ain't exactly cold, but we'll take it.

Saturday
Saturday cools us down a whole THREE degrees. Break out the jackets! Highs around 91 and lows around 72. Just like on Friday only around a 4% chance of rain. That Realfeel is gonna stay around 91 degrees. If you've got football, festivals, cookouts, tailgates, or anything else outside Saturday, this really ain't a bad setup.

Sunday
Sunday rounding out the weekend with more of the same. The high climbs back to around 92 degrees, with a low around 72. We'll have sunshine mixed with some clouds and only about a 1% chance of rain. ONE PERCENT. I don't know if I've ever trusted a Louisiana rain chance that low. The RealFeel could climb to around 95 degrees, so Sunday afternoon is still gonna feel plenty warm.

Here's Your Weekend Game Plan
Friday: Mostly sunny, hot, and almost no chance of rain.
Saturday: Mainly cloudy, warm, and still almost completely dry.
Sunday: Sunshine and clouds with another warm afternoon and basically no rain.

So here's the deal. If you've got outdoor plans, this might be one of the better weekends we've had in a while. You probably don't need to worry much about the umbrella. You probably DO need the sunscreen. And yes...Keep buying the ice. Louisiana gave us a little taste of cooler weather and immediately said, "Alright, that's enough of that."

That's your Cajun Weekend Weather Report. We ain't just telling y'all what the weather's doing. We're helping y'all survive Southwest Louisiana weather one confusing weekend at a time. And as for that gumbo pot? Don't put it too far away. Eventually Louisiana has gotta let fall stick around....right?

12 of the Largest Things You'll Find in Louisiana

In the quest to be the biggest or have the biggest, Louisiana has accomplished the feat more than a dozen times. Okay, the 12 things that we've chosen might not be the most marketable as far as tourism goes, but they're still worth bragging about. And if you know someone who is a fan of a certain NFL team from Dallas, make sure you and they see the last item in this list. It's truly food for thought.
