Cal-Cam Fair 2025: 103 Years of Fun, Food, and Tradition in SWLA
🐊 KNGT 🐊 | Lake Charles, LA — It's Carnival Time! This year, Southwest Louisiana and the Cal-Cam Fair are returning to Sulphur, Louisiana, bringing with them more fun, excitement, and tradition. Every year, families from all around SWLA eagerly await this occasion. For the 103rd time, neighbors will get together to celebrate this year. There are rides, music, competitions, and an abundance of food on the grounds of the West Cal Arena & Events Center, where the fair is held.
There is more to the Cal-Cam Fair than just games and rides. The community congregates there to showcase regional customs and talent. This year the Fair has it all, Pageants, livestock exhibits, music, dancing, and even the most popular event, the Invitational Bull Fights. This Cal-Cam Fair is well known here in SWLA, I guarantee that most everyone around here has a core memory about riding a ride or an experience they had.
This year the fair is honoring a late board member that has recently passed away. Ms. Jan was a long time board member who devoted many years to the fair. Known for her generosity and commitment to the fair's development. Her memory will live on because of the fair and the number of lives she impacted over the years.
Agriculture is also deeply rooted in the Cal-Cam Fair. From the many different Livestock shows going on this Saturdays to just that "Country Feel" that the Fair has. These traditions serve as a reminder of how we honor Southwest Louisiana's heritage and culture in addition to being a place for enjoyment.
