Today in Sulphur: Annual Calcasieu Christmas Toy Drive

Lake Charles, La [KNGT-FM] -The holiday season is officially here, and with Thanksgiving behind us, Christmas has arrived faster than ever. While this time of year is meant to be joyful, the reality is that the past several months have been challenging for many families in Southwest Louisiana.

Rising costs, everyday bills, groceries, and clothing needs don’t pause for the holidays, and for parents, the added pressure of providing Christmas gifts for their children can feel overwhelming.

If you’ve been fortunate enough to weather this year without hardship, today is an opportunity to help make the season brighter for someone else. The holidays are about generosity, compassion, and community, and that spirit is on full display today in Sulphur.

The Ward 4 Marshal’s Office has once again partnered with surrounding Calcasieu Parish law enforcement agencies and CITGO to host the annual Calcasieu Christmas Toy Drive-Thru, and it’s happening today, Thursday, December 18, 2025.

The event is being held at the West Cal Event Center from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., where families in need will receive Christmas gifts for their children. This drive-thru event is designed to ease the burden on local families and ensure that kids across our community can experience the joy and excitement of Christmas morning.
