Calcasieu Parish Corrections Division To Appear On TV Show Jail
Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office appears to be hinting that its Corrections Division could soon step into the television spotlight.
They posted on Facebook over the weekend teasing it. They said,
Our CPSO Corrections Division is stepping into the spotlight.
Stay tuned.
The recent hint from CPSO had viewers wondering whether the Calcasieu Sheriff’s Correctional Center or the CPSO Prison will be featured on Jail, the long-running reality series that documents activity inside jails across the United States.

Then yesterday, the CPSO released a statement confirming that they would, in fact, be featured on the show. They laid out what channels you could watch the show on, the dates of when it would air, and the episodes they would be featured in. The new season is available through Roku, Prime Video, Sony PlayStation, and VIZIO.

Top Weapons Prisoners Make In Jail

- Melt brushes or toothbrushes and insert razor blades in them for a cutting device
Personally, I am thrilled if this all comes to be. In 1993, I was hired at the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office and worked in the Calcasieu Sheriff’s Correctional Center. The Correctional Center consists of three pods, A, B, and C, along with Intake, where the booking process takes place.

I worked in B pod for a month before being transferred to Intake to book people in. Let me tell you, anyone who wants to be a police officer on Patrol first needs to work in the jail first. You learn a lot, which prepares you for the next step in your career.
I am pretty excited. This hits close to home for me. I can't wait to watch it.
