Calcasieu Parish School Board Announces More Schools Opening

As we all work tirelessly to pick up the pieces after Laura and Delta, the Calcasieu Parish School Board is working to get the schools open, their staff back in, and the students back into a safe environment.

Usually, we see first day of school pictures all on the same day. This year, big surprise, that has not been the case. CPSB schools haven been opening up as they get repaired for student to return to class. Another round of schools have been announced that they will be reopening as early as next week, November 4, 2020.

Open for staff on October 29, and students on November 4  -LeBlanc Middle, Sam Houston High, Sulphur High, Vinton Middle, Westlake High, Westlake T&I, W.W. Lewis Middle

Open for staff on October 29, student return TBA - Gillis Elementary, Vinton Elementary

Open for staff on October 30, student return TBA - DeQuincy High
