Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office DWI Checkpoint Saturday

The holiday season is here and that means a lot of people will be out on the roads traveling to visit loved ones, going to Christmas Parties and just going out and having some fun.

With that being said, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office will be out on the roadways protecting the citizens of the Southwest Louisiana area.

The CPSO will conduct a DWI checkpoint this Saturday, December 21st, 2019 at an undisclosed location somewhere in Calcasieu Parish.

Kayla Vincent with the CPSO said,

This checkpoint will target individuals driving under the influence of alcohol and/or narcotics, which has been proven to be very effective in discouraging citizens from driving while impaired and people are more likely to designate a driver when they know sobriety checkpoints are being conducted.

So make sure to designate a driver or take a taxi or ride share to be safe and enjoy your holidays y'all.
