It's that time again for your hunter to get certified for the upcoming hunting season. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office will be hosting a Hunter's Education Course coming up at the end of April.

Southwest Louisiana is known for being called Sportsman's Paradise and folks around these parts love to get outdoors and do some hunting. This is a way to not only get out there and enjoy the sport of hunting but also do it in a safe manner.

Some of the most popular hunting in Southwest Louisiana consists of duck, deer, goose, dove, and squirrel hunting.
