
Celebrate Mardi Gras 2025 in Southwest Louisiana: Full Event List
The Mardi Gras season has been a longer one than usual this year but the finale is now here. Starting this Friday, February 28th, there will officially be Mardi Gras weekend leading up to the grand finale on Tuesday, March 4th.
Get ready for five straight days of parades, live music, and events going on in the area. There are a ton of events going on in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana starting Friday and rolling until Fat Tuesday. We have made you a list of the ones we know about and here they are.
Here is the 2025 Mardi Gras Event Schedule For Lake Charles And Southwest Louisiana
Friday, February 28, 2025 -- Mardi Gras Merchant's Parade Starts at 7:00 pm and rolls down Ryan Street to Sale Road in Lake Charles.
Saturday, March 1, 2025 -- World Famous Cajun Extravaganza and Gumbo Cook-off inside the Lake Charles Event Center Exhibition Hall. Admission is $10 per person and 5 and under are free.
Saturday, March 1, 2025 -- Krewe of Omega Parade at 2:00 pm
Sunday, March 2, 2025 -- Children's Parade. Starts at 3:30 pm and rolls down Ryan Street to Sale Road in Lake Charles.
Monday, March 3, 2025 -- 14th annual Lundi Gras Party with the Zydeco Boss Keith Frank live at Cowboy's Night Club in Lake Charles presented by Townsquare Media with Gator 99.5, 107 Jamz, and 92.9 The Lake.
Monday, March 3rd, 2025 -- Mardi Gras Royal Gala inside the Lake Charles Event Center starting at 7:00 pm.
Tuesday, March 4, 2025 -- the city of Iowa, Louisiana's Chicken Run. Starts at the Knights of Columbus hall on Highway 90 in Iowas at 8:00 am.
Tuesday, March 4, 2025 -- Wayne Toups is playing live at The Cajuns Wharf located at 3500 Ryan Street in Lake Charles on the parade route. He will play in the afternoon until the parade passes the Wharf.
Tuesday, March 4, 2025 -- Jeeps On Parade starting at 2:00 pm down Ryan Street
Tuesday, March 4, 2025 -- Motor Gras Parade starting at 3:00 pm down Ryan Street
Tuesday, March 4, 2025 -- Mardi Gras Southwest Louisiana's Krewe Of Krewe's Parade starting at 5:00 pm. This huge parade rolls down Ryan Street to Sale Road in Lake Charles.
So get ready for five straight days of Mardi Gras fun. The weather is supposed to be nice the entire weekend through Mardi Gras so you know that it is going to be on in Southwest Louisiana.
