Cajun Music & Food Fest In Lake Charles Announces Music Lineup
Certain months of the year in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana are known as festival months. One is, of course, February and March, with Mardi Gras and the Rabbit Festival. The other month with a ton of festivals is July.
In July alone, there are three festivals taking place in two weeks. There is the Coushatta Crossroads Festival, the Marshland Festival, and a traditional Cajun music festival, all taking place in Southwest Louisiana.
The traditional Cajun music festival we are talking about is put on by the Lake Charles Chapter of the Cajun French Music Association (CFMA). It takes place every year on the third weekend in July at the Burton Coliseum in South Lake Charles.
This will be the 38th year that the festival has taken place and includes:
• Live Cajun Music all day long
• Accordion Contest
• Arts & Crafts Booths
• Great Cajun Food & Cold Drinks
• Silent & Live Auctions
• Cake Walks & Raffle Drawings
• Visiting Royalty Introductions
• Sweet Shop & More
This year, the festival is set for Saturday, July 19, 2025, and we'll open at 8:00 am and run until 10:30 pm that night. Who's playing, you ask?
