Charlie Wayne Band To Headline Downtown At Sundown In June In Lake Charles

The popular concert series Downtown At Sundown in Lake Charles is back for another year. The four-week concert series gets underway on May 19 and will take place every Friday night for four weeks ending on June 9th, 2023.

On June 9th, 2023, Southwest Louisiana's popular country band, The Charlie Wayne Band, will headline the concert series that night. The Charlie Wayne Band is a staple in Southwest Louisiana and has a great following of fans.

Charlie Wayne is known for his big hits like Lonely, If You Should Up, Dance, and Buzzin' to name a few. The band is comprised of an all-star lineup of musicians. The Charlie Wayne Band is one of just a few country bands in Southwest Louisiana that has a steel guitar in the band which is our favorite instrument.

Downtown At Sundown gets underway on Friday, May 19th with Gregg Wright. On Friday, May 26th it will be Mason Trail and Zydeco Rhythm. Then on Friday night, June 2nd is Nicki and The People's Victory.

Then the final Friday of Downtown At Sundown will feature the Charlie Wayne Band with Gino V opening up for Charlie. All four concerts start at 6:00 pm and run until 9:00 pm.

Downtown At Sundown takes place at the 1000 block of Ryan Street in Downtown Lake Charles. the event if free and kid-friendly. It also features vendor booths, beer, wine, and food too. Make sure to bring your lawn chairs and enjoy some live music with the Charlie Wayne Band on June 9th!
