Charlie Wayne To Play Rodeo After Party Friday In Lake Charles

The Southwest District Livestock Show and Rodeo are coming to Lake Charles this week at the Burton Complex in South Lake Charles. There are four performances scheduled starting this Thursday, February 1st, and running through Saturday, February 3rd, 2024.

There will be a nightly performance on Thursday and Friday nights with two scheduled for Saturday. One Saturday afternoon and another Saturday night. Get ready to see all of your favorite rodeo events play out under the roof of the Burton Coliseum.

On Friday night after the performance at the rodeo, the official afterparty will take place at Cowboy's Nightclub right down the road from the Burton. There will be live country music rocking at Cowboys with local Louisiana boy Charlie Wayne and his band playing live.

Charlie Wayne is one of the most popular Southwest Louisiana artists in the area. His hits include Lonely, If You Showed Up, Buzzin', and Dance just to name a few. Charlie and his band who by the way are phenomenal musicians will have you dancing all night after the rodeo.

Cowboys, which is located at 5329 Common Street in Lake Charles has gone through a complete renovation, and let us tell you, the inside is beautiful. you will like this too. There is no smoking allowed in the club so you won't have to deal with that smoking atmosphere while you listen, dance, and drink to the band.

So get your boots on, head to the rodeo, and then go by after for some real country music and a beer or two while supporting a great local artist.
