
Louisiana Gas Prices Drop Slightly; Here’s Where to Find the Cheapest Gas in SWLA (August 6th)
LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA - If you’re planning to hit the road this week, you may be happy to know gas prices have dropped slightly across Louisiana. While the savings aren’t huge, every few cents can make a difference when it’s time to fill up your tank.

According to the latest data from AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Louisiana is now $3.64, down from $3.69 just one week ago. Even with the small drop, prices remain much higher than they were this time last year, when drivers were paying around $2.76 per gallon.
According to AAA, here in the Southwest Louisiana area, prices have remained fairly steady. The average cost for regular unleaded is $3.74 per gallon, while mid-grade averages $4.25, premium sits at $4.61, and diesel is averaging $4.96 per gallon.
