
Kids Take Over Mardi Gras at CFMA Children’s Run in Jennings
If you’re looking for something fun, loud, and full of smiles for the kids this Mardi Gras season, mark this down. The Cajun Family Chapter of the CFMA is getting ready to roll with their 2nd Annual Children’s Mardi Gras Run, and it’s shaping up to be a big family day in Jennings.
The kids run is scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2026, starting at 23256 Highway 26 in Jennings. This event is open to children ages 6 to 15, and is focused on showing the kiddos the traditional way Mardi Gras is celebrated here in Louisiana.
Registration starts the morning of and the deadline is 8:30 a.m. The cost is $10 per child, and parents are required to stay for the fun.
The Parade starts at 9:00 a.m. Every child must be dressed in a traditional Mardi Gras costume.
Lunch is covered for all participants after the run. Gumbo and drinks are included with registration for all the kids taking part in the run. Spectators can also grab a bowl after participants are served. Gumbo with potato salad will be $5 a bowl, and drinks are $1.

-No Off-road Vehicles
