Chris Stapleton to appear on Justin Timberlake’s New Album
IT'S HAPPENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excuse my slight outburst, but I am finding it a bit hard to control my current excitement! As I was perusing the internet, I ran across this tidbit of info and ran around the station (it was more of a fast walk followed by heavy breathing).
Justin Timberlake and THE Chris Stapleton (and his beard) are now set to have a bit of a collaboration on Timberlake's new album. The album, "Man of the Woods", will include Stapleton on one of the tracks, which fulfills a LONG awaited need since their performance together at the 2015 CMA Awards (which I still watch in wonder each and every time).
The bearded, and not so bearded, duo sang Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey" followed by Timberlake's "Drink You Away" (which, in my opinion, could have easily been a great country crossover). After that performance, Timberlake and Stapleton bonded closer and closer, sharing stories of new fatherhood, a shared appreciation for each other's music, and kept in touch by sharing new songs with each other.
In 2017, Timberlake brought out Stapleton and his wife Morgane to the stage at the Pilgrimage Festival just outside of Nashville, introducing them as the couple that inspired him so much since meeting them. There will be other artists singing on Timberlake's new album, but it seems that everyone is "all ears" about wanting to know what the "Timb-leton" ( I made that up) song will sound like.
