Many Coke drinkers have already switched to the "healthier option" of Coke Zero or Diet Coke. (Healthier Soda... Is that really a thing? HaHa!)

Corn syrup and cane sugar are both sweeteners, but they come from different sources and have slightly different tastes. Corn syrup is made from corn and is cheaper to produce, which is why many U.S. companies use it. Cane sugar comes from sugarcane and is often seen as more “natural” by some people.
Health experts say there is little difference between the two in terms of your health. Both are still added sugars. What matters most is how much sugar you drink overall.

President Donald Trump says Coca-Cola may be changing how it sweetens its drinks in the U.S. The President posted on his social media site, Truth Social, saying that Coca-Cola agreed to switch from using high-fructose corn syrup to real cane sugar.
In a statement via CNN, Coca-Cola didn't offer much acknowledgement that the change could be coming. Here's what they had to say: (via CNN)
“We appreciate President Trump’s enthusiasm for our iconic Coca-Cola brand. More details on new innovative offerings within our Coca-Cola product range will be shared soon.”
