Comedy For A Cause Coming To Lake Charles This Weekend Nov.18
Who needs a laugh? Most of us do these days. How about getting laughs while supporting an awesome cause? You can do both this weekend in Lake Charles while supporting Special Olympics.
Lake Charles Comedy has teamed up with the Lambda Upsilon chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha at McNeese to help raise some money for Southwest Louisiana Special Olympics.
The event will feature three hilarious comedians performing on the same night. The headliner for that night will be Tommy "Tee Ray" Bergeron. On the Lake Charles Comedy Facebook event page, they posted some info about the headliner Tommy "Tee Ray" Bergeron.
Tee Ray's act has been described as “Tee Ray is one of a kind. Put him in any room and he’ll crack the place up. He’s the Steve Buscemi of Stand up…only not as good looking.” – Sean Patton (Comedian, Host of Esquire Network’s ‘Best Bars in America.’) and “One of my southern faves. Great comic and has great vibes. Big fan of the Tee Ray! - Mark Normand (Comedian.)
Tee Ray has performed in a multitude of comedy clubs, including The Funny Bone, The Comedy Zone, Bonkers, South Street Comedy Club, The Joke Gym, Laugh In Comedy Café, The Laugh Out Loud Comedy Lounge, Comedy TX, and Houston’s infamous Laff Stop. He has performed at multiple casinos in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Nevada, and his show has been seen in theaters throughout the country.
You can also see Tee on Theo Von's Netflix special 'No Offense' as Theo's opening act...including a 2-second fist-bump dressing room scene!
The event will be this Saturday, November 18th at Crying Eagle Brewery located on East McNeese Street in Lake Charles and will take place inside the venue.
All money raised goes towards buying new equipment and paying for competitions that the athletes compete in every year so it's a great cause. So make plans to attend, laugh, and help out a great cause.
