Concerts & Events In Lake Charles & SWLA This Weekend June 21-23

After another long week of work, honey-dos, and responsibilities we didn't want to deal with, it's time to get out and do something fun this weekend. Are you looking for some live music? How about an event to take the family to?

We have a list of things happening in the area for you here.

On Friday night, the Gumbeau Gators baseball team will be in action in Lake Charles. They will be playing at A. M. Barbe High School Ballpark starts at 7:00 pm.

Johnny Jimenez will be live at Mary's Lounge located on East Broad Street In Lake Charles on Friday night. Johnny and his band will hit the stage at 8:00 pm.

Mark Chesnutt was supposed to be playing in Lake Charles Friday night but the show has been postponed and rescheduled for December 13th, 2024.

The Chee Weez will be live in concert this Saturday night at Crying Eagle Brewery for the Summer Concert Series. Doors open at 6:00 pm and the show will get underway at 9:00 pm.

There are three different Farmer's Markets going on Saturday morning in Southwest Louisiana. All three Farmer's Markets will take place on Saturday from 8:00 am to Noon.

• The Charlestown Farmers Market in downtown Lake Charles at 1001 Ryan Street.
• Moss Bluff Farmers Market is located at 325 Sam Houston Jones Pkwy
• Westlake Farmers Market is located at Miller's Super Saver on Sampson Street.

Get ready for July folks, because at least four festivals are coming your way across Southwest Louisiana. The Marshland Festival, CFMA Festival, Red White Blue and You Festival, and the Coushatta Crossroads Festival are all on tap in July 2024.
